- Gerald Madison has been preparing low cost trusts for the last
20 years. Free consultations are given to senior citizens, age 62 and
older, to determine if they are candidates for a trust. Part of his
marketing strategy has been to deliver this service to give clients a
chance to meet him and to see if they like his work and his staff.
Frequently, these clients later are involved in accidents and then return
to hire him for their personal injury case. If an estate needs tax
planning because it might be subject to federal estate taxes, the client
will be advised of other attorneys who can offer specialized services.
This office recognizes that most people can utilize a trust to avoid
probate, and that seminars offering trust kits are rarely used properly
because they haven't discussed their situation with an attorney.
A simple trust starts at $500.00 and usually doesn't exceed $800.00.
- Wills cost $100. Some people don't even need a will. Free
consultations are given to senior citizens, age 62 and older, to determine
if they are candidates for a will.
- Probate matters are the natural extension of offering services
for wills and trusts. Fees can be based upon the statutory fee or on an
hourly rate.
Joint Petition Divorces are fairly simple and inexpensive,
$250.00 for the attorney fee. Filing fees aren't included in that price.
If there are children and/or property (property includes bills, assets,
retirements interests), there is a minimum additional attorney fee of
$250.00.
Consultations are given on all legal matters for $25 for the
first half hour. Thereafter, the hourly rate applies. Frequently, people
need really basic information before they can even decide which lawyer
might be willing to assist them. We will give information on additional
resources in an attempt to solve every legal problem.
